My First Animations
Two of the first animations I ever made during my animation course at Mercy College. Looking back I realize the subject matter of my animations are mostly goofy and comedic slapstick. I think its time to try my hand at something a bit more serious in nature or at least not so fast paced.

Maya Animation - Global Warming Group Project
Me and my team were tasked with creating a commercial informing people about global warming in order to urge people to help pass legislation and stop it. This semester long project was meant to mimic the experience of working with an animation team, and it was a lot of fun. For my part, I modeled and rigged the eagle, and the unraveling legislation, and also animated the shot with the eagle dropping the legislation. The sound was added by me but the narration and voice over was supplied to us by our animation professor Fran Krause.
MS Paint/Charcoal Drawings - Naruto & Mr. Incredible Fanart
I visited my Deviant Art page for the first time in months and grabbed some of my favorite drawings from there to post here. I'm a fan of anime and was in my Naruto phase the summer that I drew these (with nothing but a mouse and determination ROCK LEE STYLE!). The other is a charcoal drawing copy assignment for my drawing course (Incredibles). I've been way too busy modeling, animating, and writing essays to even pick up a pencil these days. And now I have a senior animation project due next semester to worry about so it seems like I STILL won't have any time left to sit down and draw. Its been a while since I've had to brush some charcoal off my clothes how I miss those days.

Maya: First Major Lighting and Texturing
These are some rendered shots of a castle dungeon I modeled this semester at Mercy using Maya, the only 3D modeling program I think I'll ever need*. The assignment was to create a scene and model it from scratch then use the lighting and texturing principles we were showed during class to make it purdy. The ones with the fire and warm lighting are rendered using global illumination(its a setting that simulates the bounced light effect to make your stuff look even better).I find lighting and texturing a pain, but it does my models look cool so I guess it balances itself out in the end.
